VEHICLE STARTS UP FINE. IT HESITATES WHEN PRESSING BRAKE PEDAL, GETS REAL STIFF, AND STARTS TO PULSATE. IT HESITATES WHEN CHANGING GEARS. IT DOES THIS EVRY 10,000 MILES.*AK

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE
SMELLING GASOLINE WHEN CAR WAS PARKED IN GARAGE. THE SMELL WAS VARIABLE BUT SEEMED TO BE STRONGER WHEN WEATHER WAS HOT. I CHECKED THE FUEL INJECTORS TO BE CERTAIN NO O-RING WAS LEAKING. NONE WERE LEAKING BUT I NOTICED SMALL AMOUNT OF GASOLINE ON THE VALVE COVER ON THE VALVE COVER CLOSET TO THE FIREWALL. CHECKING I FOUND THAT BY DEPRESSING THE "QUICK CONNECT" BETWEEN THE FUEL LINE AND THE FUEL RAIL I COULD MAKE A SMALL AMOUNT OF GASOLINE ESCAPE. LOOKING AT THE ENGINE COVER (LARGE PLASTIC COVER WITH V-6 3.8L ON IT) THAT THERE WAS AN INDENT IN THE INSULATION WHERE THIS WAS PRESSING ON THE FUEL LINE. I REMOVED THE COVER AND HAVE DRIVEN FOR 1 WEEK WITHOUT THE GASOLINE SMELL. I HAVE ORDERED A REPLACEMENT QUICK CONNECT. *TR
