TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, HE HEARD A CHIMING NOISE AND SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE LOST POWER STEERING. HE CITED THAT IT WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO HANDLE THE STEERING WHEEL AND A WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD. HE TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD; HOWEVER, WHEN HE RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, THE FAILURE DID NOT RECUR. HE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND A REPRESENTATIVE SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR HIM TO HAVE THE VEHICLE INSPECTED BY THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED TO-DATE. DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, THE RIGHT FRONT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE DROPPED DOWN AND THERE WAS A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. THE VEHICLE STRUCK A BRIDGE AND CAME TO A STOP. THE OCCUPANTS WERE WEARING SEAT BELTS, BUT MINOR INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED MODERATE DAMAGE AND A POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN.
