WHEN DRIVING, THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT SHIFTS GEARS, THE WRENCH LIGHT COMES ON AND ENGINE POWER IS LOST. AFTER PULLING OVER, TURNING OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTARTING, THE CAR DRIVES NORMALLY. THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES IN ONE DAY. DEALER REPROGRAMMED PCM AND IT WAS FINE FOR TWO MONTHS. SAME THING HAPPENED ON JUNE 21, 2012. THIS IS POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING PROBLEM BECAUSE IT HAS HAPPENED AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IN RUSH HOUR CONDITIONS. MANY CONSUMER REPORTS OF SAME SYMPTOMS CAN BE EASILY FOUND ON INTERNET BY SEARCHING FOR "ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL." WHEN I TOOK CAR TO DEALER AFTER MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE, THEY SAID THEIR WERE NO CODES SHOWING SO THERE WAS NOTHING TO FIX. FORD NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE WHY THIS IS HAPPENING AND RECALL/FIX THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM!

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH LED TAIL AND BRAKE LIGHTS. I WAS INFORMED THAT MY LEFT REAR BRAKE LIGHT WAS BARELY OPERABLE, SO I WENT TO THE CLOSEST AUTHORIZED FORD DEALER TO HAVE THE SITUATION REMEDIED. THE REAR TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY ON THESE CARS IS A NON-REPAIRABLE SEALED ASSEMBLY, AND ANY MALFUNCTION OF THE LED'S REQUIRES THE WHOLE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY TO BE REPLACED, AT A COST OF $465. THIS COST IS OUTRAGEOUS, AND HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL SIMPLY ELECT TO NOT REPLACE AN INOPERATIVE LED TAIL LIGHT OR BRAKE LIGHT ASSEMBLY? OR WHAT HAPPENS WHEN FORD CEASES TO SUPPLY THE PROPRIETARY ASSEMBLIES, AND OWNERS ARE FACED WITH JUNKING THEIR VEHICLES SIMPLY BECAUSE OF BURNT OUT TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLIES? I AM FRUSTRATED THAT "PROGRESS" HAS TAKEN US FROM THE SIMPLE 59 CENT INCANDESCENT TAIL LIGHT OR TURN SIGNAL/BRAKE LIGHT BULB, SO AN OVER-ENGINEERED LED ASSEMBLY THAT IS PROHIBITIVELY COSTLY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE. I BELIEVE A RETROFIT TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY IS NEEDED, EITHER WITH SERVICEABLE LED'S, OR CONVENTIONAL INCANDESCENT BULBS. *TR
