SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK
: THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM WAS ENABLED ON DRY ROAD AND CAUSED THE CARS BRAKING SYSTEM TO BECOME INOPERABLE. THIS CAUSED THE CAR TO BRAKE USING THE ANTI LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM, WHICH MADE THE CAR TAKE A LONGER TIME TO STOP. THIS PROBLEM SEEMED TO BE INTEMITANT AS THE POWER BRAKING SYSTEM WOULD OPERATE AT TIMES, AND WITHOUT WARNING GO INTO THE ANTI LOCK MODE. THIS ANTI LOCK MODE ACTED LIKE THE CAR WAS ON A SLIPPERY SURFACE AND WOULD NOT STOP. *AK

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:SWITCHES:BRAKE LIGHT
WHILE TRAVELING AT 60 MPH CONSUMER TURNED ON CRUISE CONTROL, WAS GETTING READY TO EXIT AND PUT ON BRAKES TO CUT OFF SPEED CONTROL, VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN, AND THEN ACCELERATED BACK TO 60 MPH. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND THEY SAID SWITCH WAS BAD THAT WORKED WITH BRAKES. THIS SWITCH ALSO KNOCKED OUT REAR BRAKE LIGHTS. *AK THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS HAD FAILED TO ALERT THE DRIVER. *YH
