VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 LINCOLN TOWN CAR. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A FORD RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL IN SEPTEMBER OF 2007. THE DEALER INFORMED HIM THAT THERE WERE NO PARTS AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WAS DEACTIVATED IN ORDER TO PREVENT A POSSIBLE FIRE. THE CONTACT HAS SINCE BEEN GIVEN AT LEAST 3 OR 4 DIFFERENT DATES AS TO WHEN THE PARTS WILL ARRIVE. HE IS VERY DISSATISFIED WITH FORD'S RESPONSE. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 97,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LINCOLN TOWN CAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE FLOOR MAT ONLY HAD ONE HOOK THAT KEPT THE FLOOR MAT SECURED TO THE CARPET. THE FLUORINATED WOULD FREQUENTLY BECOME CAUGHT UNDER THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, WHICH THE CONTACT HAD TO CONTINUE TO RELEASE THE FLUORINATED WHILE DRIVING. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED WHO STATED THE VEHICLE COULD BE REPAIRED BUT AT THE CONTACTS EXPENSE. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BUT PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,270.
