TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1998 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR. THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL WAS DEACTIVATED FOR THE FORD RECALL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER DEACTIVATED THE SPEEDOMETER WHEN THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS DEACTIVATED. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE AND DESTROYED. TWO OCCUPANTS WERE INJURED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. SUSPENSION
DT: THE CONSUMER STATED 2005 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE SUSPENSION AND THE GEAR SHIFT. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE REPAIR SHOP THREE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN CALLED. THE CONSUMER TALKED TO THE DEALER, AND THEY COULD NOT HELP HIM. THE FIRST TIME THE ELECTRICAL WORK WAS DONE, IT WAS FIXED. AFTERWARDS, THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP THE PAST WEE, AND NOTHING HAS BEEN FIXED. NO DATE WAS SET WHEN THE VEHICLE WILL BE FIXED. THE DEALERSHIP DOES NOT KNOW WHEN THE PARTS WILL COME IN. *AK
