IN MY 2005 INFINITI QX56 THE DOOR HANDLE GETS STUCK WHEN IT IS COLD (AROUND OR BELOW 15 DEGREES). THE DOOR SEEMS LIKE IT IS CLOSED BUT IT IS NOT AND DURING TUNS IT SWING OPENS. I HAD TO TIE IT WITH WHATEVER I HAD AVAILABLE TO THE SEAT TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE BACK HOME. SEARCHING ONLINE, I FOUND THAT IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH INFINITI AND NISSAN AND THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR IT AND THE DEALER CHARGES AROUND $300-$500 TO FIX THIS. WHICH IS VERY UNFAIR. I AM REQUESTING YOU TO PLEASE EXPOSE THIS ISSUE SO NISSAN FIXES THIS. *TR

POWER TRAIN
PROBLEMS WITH THE TIMING BELT CHAIN ON NEWER MODEL INFINITI QX56. PROBLEM OF CAR MAKING WHISTLING NOISE APPEARED EARLY AFTER PURCHASE AND INTERMITTENTLY THEREAFTER BUT BECAME PROMINENT IN JULY 2011. APPEARS TO BE A RECURRING PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE MODEL. DEALER HAD TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE ENGINE ON THE VEHICLE TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE. HOWEVER, WE BELIEVE THE UNDERLYING DEFECT IN THE TIMING BELT CHAIN WILL CONTINUE TO OCCUR AND THAT THERE IS THE POTENTIAL THE ENGINE COULD FAIL AND CAUSE A MAJOR ACCIDENT(S) AND/OR FATALIT(IES). *TR
