THIS 95% TOTAL BREAK FAILURE HAS HAPPENED 2 SEPARATE TIMES 8/2010 AND 3/2011; AND WHILE NO ACCIDENT, THERE COULD EASILY HAVE BEEN ONE HAD I BEEN TRAVELING AT A HIGHER RATE OF SPEED, OR IF THERE HAD BEEN OTHER VEHICLES AROUND ME. APPLIED BREAK, IMMEDIATELY BRAKE PEDAL SUNK TO THE FLOOR, BREAK LIGHT ON DASH CAME ON, FRONT BREAKS BEGAN MAKING HARSH GRINDING SOUNDS (AS WHEN SLIP CONTROL ENACTS); HAD THERE BEEN CARS IN FRONT OF ME I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO STOP W/OUT HITTING THEM. EVEN WITH FOOT TO FLOOR VEHICLE DID NOT STOP, DOWN SHIFTED INTO 1ST GEAR, AND FINALLY VEHICLE SLOWED AND WAS ABLE TO STOP. PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF CAR; AFTER TURNING CAR BACK ON BRAKE LIGHT ON DASH HAD GONE AWAY AND BRAKES WERE ACTING NORMAL. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD AND SOMEONE MAY DIE FROM THIS. THE FRONT DISCS ON THIS VEHICLE ARE NO GOOD EVEN AFTER INFINITI/NISSAN HAS DONE THEIR SO CALLED ‘REPAIR’ AND CONTINUE TO PREMATURELY WARP….A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT NEEDS TO BE FORMED TO DEAL RESOLVE THIS MATTER INDEFINITELY. DEALER SUBSEQUENTLY REPROGRAMED VDC CONTROL.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 INFINITI QX56. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS ILLUMINATED OAS THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT CALLED ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE STARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND INSPECTED. THE DEALER WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
