A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE MANUFACTURERS CORPORATE OFFICE STATED THAT THEY WOULD SEND AN INSPECTOR TO DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. IT COST BETWEEN $ 6000.00 TO $14000.00 TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE CONTACT APPROACHED A STOP SIGNAL, ENGAGED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE SURGED FORWARD WITH AN INCREASE IN THE RPMS. THE IDENTICAL FAILURE OCCURRED FIVE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON SIX OCCASIONS REGARDING THE UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE OR DETECT A TROUBLE CODE DURING THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST; HOWEVER, THE ELECTRONIC MODULE WAS REPROGRAMMED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR.
