VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
THE INCIDENT DATE IS THE MOST RECENT. TRUCK HAS ONLY 4200 MILES ON IT. ON ALL FOUR OCCASIONS I WAS BRAKING WHEN IT BEGAN TO ACCELERATED THREE TIMES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, ONE TIME ON A GRAVEL ROAD. THE CRUISE WAS NOT ON. I DID NOT HAVE MY FOOT ON BOTH THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR. THE BRAKES NOR THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WOULD HOLD IT. ACCELERATION WENT UP TO 3000+ RPMS AND WAS WITNESSED BY THE PASSENGER. I HAD TO SHIFT TO NEUTRAL TO GET IT STOPPED. ALL FOUR TIMES THE DEALER COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM NOR MAKE IT HAPPEN AGAIN. IT IS A VERY UNSAFE AND COULD HAVE CAUSED A FATALITY ACCIDENT. FORD DID REPROGRAM THE PCM MODULE, BUT IT HAPPENED AGAIN AFTER THAT.*AK

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC
WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IT CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE HOOD WAS OPENED, THE BRAKE DEACTIVATION SWITCH WAS ON FIRE. AFTER OPENING THE HOOD THE FLAME GREW. VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN HOME AND THEN TO THE DEALER. *AK THE CYLINDER RESEVOIR MELTED AND THE CRUISE CONTROL WIRE MELTED AS A RESULT OF THE FIRE. *TC
