DRIVING THIS MORNING AT 30 MILES PER HOUR AND I FEEL MY 2010 ESCAPE LOSE POWER NO RESPONSE WHEN PUSHING THE ACCELERATOR. WRENCH ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND I PUT MY CAR IN NEUTRAL AND PRESS THE ACCELERATOR BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. ENGINE NEVER APPEARED TO DIE IT FELT LIKE IT WAS STILL RUNNING JUST WAS NOT RESPONDING. I TURNED OFF THE ESCAPE AND TURNED IT BACK ON WITH NO PROBLEMS. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST BUT RECENTLY GOT A NEW BATTERY WHICH IT HAD FELT LIKE IT FIXED THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE ESCAPE NO LONGER WAS SLUGGISH WHEN DRIVING OR CHANGING GEARS WITH A JERK LIKE IT HAD IN THE PAST. BATTERY IS ONLY A MONTH OLD AND OIL CHANGE WAS DONE AT THE SAME TIME. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND THERE ARE CURRENTLY 231 COMPLAINTS THAT HAVE BEEN REPORTED ON POWER TRAIN FAILURE AND EVERY STORY SOUNDS JUST LIKE MINE. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY RISK SINCE THE CAR NO LONGER RESPONDS WHILE DRIVING. PLEASE CONSIDER RECALL. *TR

SUSPENSION
PICKED UP MY BRAND NEW CAR, FORD ESCAPE S 2014, AND HAD THE AC SYSTEM RUNNING, WHEN I TURNED THE AC OF A STRANGE NOISE WAS AUDIBLE FROM THE REAR END OF THE CAR. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE AN EASY FIX. APPARENTLY TWO SCREWS HAD TO BE TIGHTENED AT THE SHOCK AND SUSPENSION. AFTER LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE FIXED CARќ IT TOOK ABOUT 10 MIN TO HEAR THE NOISE AGAIN. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM. I WILL TAKE THE CARE BACK AGAIN TO SEE WHAT THE NEXT STEP IS.
