SERVICED AT 66000 MILES FOR RUNNING HOT AND ROUGH. MECHANIC FOUND BUILDUP OF SLUDGE ON TOP OF HEAD OVER 1 IN THICK. TIMING CHAIN WORN FROM LACK OF OIL. SUGGESTED NEW ENGINE. MECANICS HAD REPLACED SIMILER ENGINE PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER CAR. THEY SAID THIS WAS RECURRING PROBLEM WITH THE 2.7 LITER DUE TO POOR HEAD AND OILING DESIGN. REPLACEMENT ENGINE WAS MODIFIED TO CORRECT THIS. INTERNET SEARCH RETURNED MANY SIMILAR PROBLEMS.*AK
