Dodge owners have it better than most. Stellantis still hands out original window stickers online, free, for most Dodges built since about 2012, and we'll point you to that route before anything else. For older cars, or the VINs the factory lookup misses, our free report pulls everything the U.S. government publishes about your Dodge — no email, no account, nothing to pay.

Get the original Dodge sticker — the official free way

  1. Find the 17-character VIN on the driver-side dashboard, the door jamb, the title, or your insurance card.
  2. Open the Stellantis sticker link with your VIN pasted at the end: https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=YOURVIN — yes, chrysler.com, even for a Dodge.
  3. A PDF loads or downloads. If it shows the full label with MSRP and options, that is the original Monroney. Save it right away.
  4. Got a short 'unable to retrieve' notice instead? Retry the same path on dodge.com, jeep.com, or ramtrucks.com — the brand sites don't return identical results for the same VIN.
  5. If every domain fails, your Dodge is likely older than about 2012 or sits in one of the coverage gaps. Use the fallback below, and run our free report in the meantime.

  • Coverage: Roughly model year 2012 and newer, and spotty even inside that window — in our July 2026 test a 2022 Stellantis truck VIN failed on every brand domain while a 2018 one worked.
  • If it fails: The lookup never throws an error page — you get a PDF either way. The failure version is a near-empty file around 1 KB that reads 'We are unable to retrieve a window sticker for this VIN at this time.' A real sticker is a much larger file showing the full label.
  • Fallback: Any Dodge dealer can print the sticker or build sheet from the factory system — ask the service desk. The chat widget on dodge.com can also have an advisor email you the build sheet. For 2004–2011 Dodges, paid services ($9–$20 per VIN) sell sticker recreations, and only some of what they deliver is a true original.

Start with the original: Stellantis still posts Dodge stickers

Dodge sits in the small group of makes whose parent company keeps a public sticker lookup alive. Paste a VIN into the getWindowStickerPdf.do address and Stellantis returns the actual factory Monroney as a PDF — the same label that hung in the window on day one, with the trim, every priced option, the destination charge, and the total MSRP.

One quirk matters. The lookup exists on five brand sites — chrysler.com, dodge.com, jeep.com, ramtrucks.com, fiatusa.com — and they do not behave the same. When we tested the endpoints on July 2, 2026, a 2018 VIN came back with the real 93 KB sticker on chrysler.com but only the error PDF on dodge.com. So go to chrysler.com first, even though you're holding a Dodge VIN, and work through the sibling domains only if it fails.

Coverage runs back to about 2012, but it's patchy rather than clean. A 2022 VIN in our test failed on every domain while older ones worked. Treat each lookup as a coin worth flipping, not a guarantee.

What you get here when the original is gone

Pre-2012 Chargers, Challengers, Darts, Journeys, Grand Caravans, Avengers — none of them have a public sticker source anymore. That's where our free report comes in. It's built from the data federal agencies keep on your VIN: engine and drivetrain decode, the plant where the car was assembled, factory safety equipment, the EPA fuel-economy panel with the same 1–10 ratings the real label carries, NHTSA 5-star crash results, and open recall campaigns for that year and model.

Here's what we won't do: guess at an options list. One paid sticker service sent a Stellantis truck owner a label showing $2,890 in options — Bead Lock wheels, Mopar Rock Rails — that were never ordered on the truck. On our report, anything only the factory record can prove, like option prices and total MSRP, shows up greyed out with a pointer to the official route above. A blank line beats a made-up one.

Badge swaps and trim games: check before you pay

Dodge trims carry serious price spread, and badges move easily. An SXT wearing Scat Pack badges looks convincing in listing photos, and a 'Hellcat package' claim in an ad is either factory or a story. The original sticker settles it in one glance: it names the exact trim and lists each factory option with the price Dodge charged for it.

The sticker also puts a hard number next to the asking price. If a seller wants near-new money for a used Charger, the original MSRP on the label tells you what the car cost when it had zero miles — buyers on car forums use exactly this to knock back markups and spot padded listings. Pull the sticker before you drive out to see the car, not after.

Sticker vs build sheet: the other Mopar document

The Mopar crowd trades two factory documents and they're not the same thing. The window sticker is the priced retail label. The build sheet is a plain equipment listing — every factory item on the car, no prices. Stellantis has a separate public link for it: https://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=YOURVIN (the same path works on chrysler.com).

In our test the build sheet link still returned real PDFs for older VINs but throws a maintenance-page error for VINs it doesn't hold, and owner forums report it's broken for 2025-and-newer builds. If the link fails, open the chat on dodge.com and ask the advisor to email the build sheet — that route still works. For verifying options the build sheet is usually enough; for proving MSRP you need the sticker itself.

Save the PDF now, and what to do with older Dodges

Stickers disappear from these systems without notice — that 2022 VIN failing while a 2018 one works is the pattern, not a fluke. The day the lookup works for your Dodge, download the PDF and keep a copy with the title. If the car is ever totaled, insurance adjusters themselves tell owners to hand over the window sticker so every factory option gets counted in the payout, and owners who did have watched their valuations move up.

For classic Mopars — pre-1981 Chargers, Darts, Coronets with short VINs — no database holds originals. Collector shops sell physical reproduction stickers for classic Dodge and Plymouth models, which work for show display but aren't the factory document. For 1981-and-newer Dodges with 17-character VINs, our free report above still decodes what the government has on file, no matter how old the sticker trail has gone.

Window sticker FAQ

How do I get a Dodge window sticker by VIN?
Paste your 17-character VIN into the free Stellantis lookup: chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=YOURVIN. It returns the original factory PDF for most Dodges from about 2012 on.
Is the Dodge window sticker lookup free?
Yes. Stellantis charges nothing and asks for no account, and our window-sticker-style report is also free with no email.
Why does dodge.com say it can't retrieve my sticker?
The five Stellantis brand sites don't return identical results — in our testing, a VIN that failed on dodge.com worked on chrysler.com. Try chrysler.com first, then jeep.com and ramtrucks.com.
My Dodge is older than 2012 — can I still get the sticker?
There's no public source for it; a dealer can sometimes pull factory records, and paid services ($9–$20 per VIN) sell recreations for roughly 2004+ that aren't always true originals. Our free report covers the government data for any 1981-or-newer VIN.
What's the difference between a Dodge build sheet and the window sticker?
The build sheet lists factory equipment with no prices; the window sticker (Monroney) adds MSRP, per-option pricing, and the destination charge. Stellantis has separate free lookups for both.
Is your report the original Monroney label?
No, and it says so right on the document. It's a window-sticker-style report built from NHTSA and EPA data — for the original, use the Stellantis link above.
