WAS INFORMED BY CHRYSLER CORPORATION THAT THIS YEAR, MAKE, MODEL HAS A KNOWN "DESIGN" FLAW IN THE BRAKING SYSTEM. THEIR SOLUTION IS TO TEMPORARILY KEEP REPLACING THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS, HOWEVER AFTER 36000 MILES THE CONSUMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FULL REPLACEMENT AND PAYMENT OF THESE PARTS EVERY SINGLE YEAR AS THEY FAIL TO OPERATE CORRECTLY EVERY 12,000 MILES. CHRYSLER CORPORATION KNOWINGLY SOLD THIS VEHICLE TO CONSUMERS AND REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING BUT PUT A BANDAID ON THIS ISSUE. THEY SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL AND COMPLETELY REHAUL THE BRAKING SYSTEM OR GIVE THE CONSUMERS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE AND REIMBURSE FOR ALL EXPENSES SURROUNDING THIS ISSUE. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS ADVISED OF THE RECALL FOR THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WHICH WILL BE RELEASED IN APRIL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IF THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO SHUT OFF IN TRAFFIC A CRASH COULD OCCUR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,800.
