TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE CHALLENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IN THE VEHICLE WAS INOPERABLE AND DRAINING THE BATTERY. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE ALTERNATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER WAS SCHEDULED TO REPAIR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND A COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,500.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 51,000. UPDATED 6/17/13 *CN THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE SHIT OFF SEVERAL TIMES WHILE MAKING TURNS, AND THEN IT WOULD TAKE A WHILE FOR IT TO RE-START. ALSO, THE TRANSMISSION SEEMED TO GO INTO NEUTRAL AT TIMES WHEN CHANGING GEARS. ON ONE OCCASION, THE CONSUMER SMELLED AN ODOR OF BURNING WIRES. THE DEALER REPLACED THE RADIO AND FUSE BOX. THE VEHICLE WOULD START AND WHEN IT WAS PUT IN GEAR, IT WOULD STALL.
