IN OCTOBER 2008 MY LEFT REAR BRAKE LINE APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN CUT AND WAS REPORTED TO POLICE. HOWEVER THEY WERE UNCERTAIN IF THAT WAS THE CASE AND I HAVE PICTURES OF THIS INCIDENT. IT WAS REPLACED AT THAT TIME AND AGAIN TODAY - ALMOST 14 MONTHS TO THE DAY LATER AND ABOUT 12,000 MILES LATER, THE VERY SAME BRAKE LINE BROKE WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND I CAME WITHIN INCHES OF REAR-ENDING SOMEONE. AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE SERVICE PROVIDER, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT IN HIS MIND IT IS A VERY BAD DESIGN AND A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD. I AGAIN HAVE PICTURES AND THE PART IN QUESTION WITH ME. *TR

WHILE DRIVING IN NORMAL TRAFFIC ON A LEVEL SIX LANE ( THREE LANES ON EACH SIDE) ROAD, PROCEEDED TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE USING NORMAL ACCELERATION. THROTTLE STUCK AND CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. PLACED SHIFT LEVER IN NEUTRAL. TACHOMETER INDICATED 4000RPM. BROUGHT VEHICLE TO STOP AND TURNED OFF IGNITION. VEHICLE WAS A 2008 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY. 3.8 LITER ENGINE 33262 MILES, ENGINE TEMPERATURE NORMAL (WARM ). AMBIENT TEMPERATURE 44DEGREES F, DEWPOINT 31 DEGREES F RESTARTED ENGINE AND ENGINE PERFORMED NORMAL. BROUGHT TO DEALER AND THE MOST LIKELY PROBLEM WAS CARBON BUILDUP IN THROTTLE BODY. *TR
