AIR BAGS
MY 2006 SEBRING IS HAVING HORN PROBLEMS AGAIN. IN AUGUST OF 2007, I HAD IT IN THE DEALER TO DO A WARRANTY FIX ON THE "AIR BAG MODULE", WHICH WAS CAUSING MY HORN TO SOUND AT ODD TIMES AND PROLONGED DURATIONS. NOW, IN APRIL OF 2009 THE PROBLEM HAS RETURNED. THIS TIME THERE IS NO WARRANTY COVERAGE AND THE PRICE TO FIX IS RIDICULOUSLY HIGH. I HAVE SEARCHED ONLINE AND HAVE FOUND THIS PROBLEM TO BE VERY COMMON WITH CHRYSLER VEHICLES. I THINK CHRYSLER SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL ON AFFECTED VEHICLES. A WORKING HORN IS A SAFETY REQUIREMENT IN MANY STATES. MY STATE INSPECTION IS DUE BY THE END OF THIS MONTH AND I HAVE TO HAVE IT FIXED IN ORDER TO LEGALLY DRIVE IN TEXAS. *TR

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
WE HAVE A 08 CHRYSLER SEBRING IT WAS TAKEN TO NISSAN ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO WE WERE TOLD IT WAS THE BATTERY CHARGED 75. FOR A DIAG FEE. THE CAR ITSELF DIES WHEN AT A STOP SIGN OR RED LITE IT WILL SUDDENLY REV UP THE MOTOR AND JUST TURN OFF. IT STARTED TO STALL AND NOT TURN ON THE BATTERY WAS HAVING TO BE CHARGED OVER AND OVER. FINALLY WE CHANGED THE STARTER AND BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY THAT WAS 2 MONTHS AGO.NOW IT IS DOING THE SAME THING THE BATTERY IS DYING WE HAVE JUST TAKEN IT IN TO GET RECHARGED JUST TO FIND OUT IF IT IS THE ALTERNATOR. THE RECALL THAT WAS DONE ON THE SEBRING FOR THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR DOES NOT INCLUDE OUR CAR. I DON'T SEE HOW THE SAME VEHICLE THE SAME YEAR IS DOING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS DOES NOT GET INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. *TR
