SHIFTER WAS SQUEAKY SOUNDED LIKE AN OLD CAR EVERY TIME YOU SHIFTED TO A DIFFERENT POSITION. TOOK IN TO THE DEALER SERVICES CENTER AND WHILE THEY WERE FIXING OTHER ISSUES THEY SAID IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED SO THEY DID. NOW 6,000 LATER IT SOUNDS THE SAME AND WHEN I TOOK IT IN ONES AGAIN FOR OTHER ISSUES THEY SAID IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACES. APPARENTLY THE SHIFTER IS DEFECTIVE. MY CAR HAS ONLY 36,000 AND HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 7 TIMES AND ALL DIFFERENT ISSUES.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR WOULD NOT RELEASE FROM PARK. THE CONTACT REMOVED THE SHIFTER WIRE TO BE ABLE TO RELEASE THE GEAR FROM PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC THAT LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE PARK SHAFT ANCHOR. THE DEALER REPLACED THE GEAR SHIFTER BRACKET. THE MANUFACTURER DENIED ASSISTANCE WITH THE REPAIR BECAUSE THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 05V460000 (POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION). THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
