POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET AVEO 5LT. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY DECELERATED TO 30 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAD LOST COMMUNICATION WITH THE VEHICLE, CAUSING THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE, THE VEHICLE WAS SLOW TO RESPOND. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NEED A COLD AIR INTAKE YET THE ENGINE WAS NOT LARGE ENOUGH TO INSTALL THE COMPONENT. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE ENGINE WOULD SHAKE VIOLENTLY WHEN DRIVING AT LEAST 55 MPH. THE FAILURE WOULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO SWAYBACK AND FORTH. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY THE DEALER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE WITH THE ENGINE. THERE WERE NO REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 1500.
