SHOULD GIVE AN IDEA HIGH SPEED OTHER VEHICLE TRAVELING. 8-10 SECONDS FROM IMPACT, ONSTAR CAME ON AUTOMATICALLY, THEY RECD. EMERGENCY MESSAGE VIA SATELLITE, VEHICLE HAD BEEN IN A SERIOUS MVA AND AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. WE DIDN'T CALL ONSTAR THEY CALLED US. NEXT DAY WE CALLED ASKED HOW THEY KNEW WE WERE ACCIDENT. TOLD US DEPENDING ON THE SEVERITY, THEY GET CERTAIN SIGNALS, WHICH OURS HAD ADVISED OF SERIOUSNESS & AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. UNBELIEVABLY, NONE OF OUR 4 AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. WE & HUNDREDS OF OUR FRIENDS ARE IN TOTAL DISBELIEF WHEN YOU SEE THE CONDITION VEIHICLE WAS LEFT IN & THAT 4 AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. WE WERE INJURED BUT BY GRACE OF GOD INJURIES WERE NOT LIFE THREATENING. HEAD,UPPERANDLOWERBACK,NECK,LEGS,SHOULDER,HIPSAND ARMS EXTREMLEY SORE. HAS BEEN 33 DAYS SINCE THE ACCIDENT AND AM STILL FEELING PAINS & SERIOUS HEADACHES BUT ALIVE. HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME ADVOCATES AND REPORT ACCIDENT/INCIDENT TO POSSIBLY SAFE A PERSON(S) LIFE AND MAKE GENERAL MOTORS AWARE THAT THEY HAVE A POSSIBLE DEFECT IN THEIR AIR BAGS, LEADING TO MASSIVE RECALL AND POSSIBLY A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT IF NOT FIXED. THIS VEHICLE HAS A RECURRING LOCKING PROBLEM THAT CANNOT BE DIAGNOSED OR CORRECTED BY THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE RANDOMLY LOCKS OR UNLOCKS WHILE EITHER PARKED OR MOVING CREATING A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN, PARTICULARLY WHEN THE VEHICLE UNLOCKS ITSELF WHILE MOVING. WE HAVE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE TO THE DEALER ON FOUR (4) DIFFERENT OCCASIONS TO CORRECT THIS LOCKING DEFECT WITHOUT SUCCESS. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR A TOTAL OF 45 DAYS DURING 2012 ON ACCOUNT OF THIS RANDOM LOCKING ISSUE. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP TELLS US THAT THIS DEFECT IS NOT AN ISOLATED ISSUE WITH OUR ESCALADE, AS OTHERS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS SAME UNRESOLVED PROBLEM, ACCORDING TO BOTH HIS OWN EXPERIENCE AND HIS CONVERSATIONS WITH THE CADILLAC TECHNICAL SUPPORT PERSONNEL.. WE HAVE CONTACTED THE CADILLAC CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER ABOUT THIS LOCKING ISSUE, TO NO AVAIL. THEY SIMPLY DENY THE PROBLEM BECAUSE IT CANNOT BE REPLICATED AT THE DEALERSHIP. THEY REFUSE TO OPEN THEIR DATA BASE TO US REGARDING THIS PROBLEM. PERHAPS YOUR AGENCY HAS MORE CLOUT IN MAKING THEIR DATA BASE TRANSPARENT WITH REGARD TO THIS SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
