I HAVE A 2010 COROLLA AND UNTIL I SPOKE TO ANOTHER OWNER I THOUGHT THIS PROBLEM MAY HAVE BEEN ME. IT SEEMS TO ME THE STEERING IS JUMPY OR HARD TO HOLD A LINE. I CAN BE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IN WHAT I WOULD CALL A STRAIGHT LINE AND THE CAR WILL SOMETIME JUMP TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT BUT YET I NEVER MOVED THE WHEEL. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR HEAT SHIELD MOUNT BETWEEN THE EXHAUST AND THE FUEL TANK WAS RUSTED DUE TO FAILED METAL. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS IN THE PROCESS OF REDESIGNING THE DEFECTIVE SHIELD THEREFORE, AS A TEMPORARY REPAIR, THE DEALER WIRED THE DEFECTIVE SHIELD UNTIL THE NEWLY DESIGNED PART BECAME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PART WAS STILL NOT AVAILABLE AFTER ONE MONTH. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 33, 600.
