VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I SLOWED DOWN TO TURN OFF OF A BUSY STREET ONTO A SIDE STREET. AS I WENT TO SPEED UP TO ABOUT 15-20 MPH THE CAR SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES ITSELF, MY FOOT WAS ON THE GAS. I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE FOR 20 SECONDS AND THEN PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS TO TRY TO DRIVE AGAIN. THE CAR AGAIN SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES. I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, PUT CAR IN PARK AND TURNED OFF THE CAR. I TURNED IT BACK ON AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO A SAFE SPOT. I AM TERRIFIED TO DRIVE IT AGAIN. I WAS DRIVING MY CAR THROUGH A GRAVEL STREET, I HIT A MAN HOLE AND THE SEAL TO MY AIRBAGS BROKE, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT COME OUT OR DEPLOY FULLY. I WAS NOT INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT NOR WAS ANYONE HURT OR INJURED OR ANY PROPERLY DAMAGE DONE, THE FRONT OR REAR SIDE OF MY CAR WAS NOT HIT NOR DAMAGED, THIS LEAD ME TO BELIEVE THAT THERE MUST BE SOME SORT OF DEFECT ON THE CAR, I HAD THE DEALERSHIP LOOK AT IT AND THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NO DEFECT, BUT WHY DIDN'T MY AIRBAGS FULLY DEPLOY OR INFLATE? HAD I NOT BEEN WEARING MY SEATBELT, I COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED. I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND I FOUND THAT THERE WAS OTHER OWNERS OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL WITH ALMOST THE SAME ISSUES, DEALING WITH THE FRONT AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS. *TR
