I HAVE A 2007 JEEP COMPASS. AND FOR THE PAST YEAR I HAVE HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE STALLING WHEN I AM DECELERATING OR STALLING WHEN AT A COMPLETE STOP. SOME TIMES THE VEHICLE JERKS SO BAD THAT MY SEAT BELT LOCKS UP. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT IT AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT BUT THAT THE TECH'S ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH THE NEW TRANSMISSION IN THIS VEHICLE. I ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE DRIVER SIDE SEATBELT IT CLICKS WHEN I PUT IT ON BUT THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WILL COME RIGHT OFF. I HAD A SCREW STUCK IN MY FRONT TIRE TODAY AND COULD NOT GET THE FRONT TIRE OFF WHEN WE FINALLY GOT IT OFF WE FIGURED OUT WHY IT WOULD NOT COME OFF THERE IS RUST. I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE PROBLEMS AND SCARED THAT THE VEHICLE WILL STALL WHEN I AM ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP COMPASS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING 70 MPH AT HIGH ALTITUDE, THE VEHICLE WOULD STALLS BUT WHEN DRIVING IN LOWER ALTITUDES IT WOULD NOT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE A FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT A REPRESENTATIVE WOULD CONTACT HIM WITHIN A FEW DAYS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.
