THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFT ON THE VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED AS A DIAL, AND THE DIAL WOULD NOT TURN OUT OF REVERSE. A TOW TRUCK DRIVER ASSISTED THE CONTACT WITH SHIFTING THE VEHICLE OUT OF REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE ENTIRE GEAR SHIFT MECHANISM WAS REPLACED. APPROXIMATELY TWO MONTHS LATER THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,000.
