AUG 2010 -- DRIVING ON INTERSTATE IN EXTREMELY HEAVY TRAFFIC AND ENGINE STALLED, LOSING POWER STEERING, BRAKES, AND GAS ACCELERATION . LIMPED TO EXIT, BARELY AVOIDING BEING REAR-ENDED BY 18-WHEELER AND BARELY GOT OFF FREEWAY BEFORE ENGINE DIED. HAD TO WAIT APPRX 1 HOUR BEFORE ENGINE WOULD START AGAIN. DROVE VERY SLOW AND CAUTIOUSLY NEXT 400 MILES HOME WITH NO FURTHER PROBLEM. JULY 2011 -- DRIVING IN CITY, TURNED CORNER AND ENGINE STALLED EXACTLY AS IN 2010 INCIDENT DESCRIBED ABOVE. WAS ABLE TO PULL INTO A PARKING LOT BEFORE BEING REAR-ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. ONLY HAD TO WAIT APPRX 15 MINUTES FOR ENGINE TO START AGAIN THIS TIME. MADE IT REST OF WAY HOME WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. FOR PAST 3 YEARS, ESP LIGHT COMES ON RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING DOWN HIGHWAY AND WON'T GO OUT.
