MY 2007 HONDA CIVIC (CURRENTLY 42,000 MILES) HAS A LOUD NOISE AND VIBRATION WHEN DRIVING. THE SOUND HAS BECOME WORSE AS THE MORE MILES I DRIVE. WHEN THE REAR TIRES ARE RUBBED ACROSS, FLAT SPOTS ON THE TIRES CAN BE FELT. HONDA WROTE A REPAIR FORUM STATING THAT THE CAUSE OF THIS IS THE IMPROPER DESIGN OF THE REAR UPPER CONTROL ARMS. THESE ARMS ARE TOO SHORT CAUSING THE CAMBER OF THE WHEELS TO BE INCORRECT. I HAVE CALLED HONDA CORPORATION AT LEAST 4 TIMES AND HAVE CONTACTED OURISMAN HONDA OF LAUREL (WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE) AT LEAST 5 TIMES. NEITHER ONE HAS BEEN OF ANY HELP. TOM ALEXANDER (SERVICE MANAGER) FROM OURISMAN HONDA OF LAUREL HAS NOT RETURNED MY PHONE CALLS. HE TOLD ME THAT SINCE MY CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY (PAST 36,000 MILES) THEN HE WOULD LOOK AT MY CASE AS GOODWILL (AS IN HE LOOKED AT MY SERVICE HISTORY LIKE OIL CHANGES AND SUCH WITH THE DEALERSHIP AND WILL BASE HIS DECISION ON REPLACEMENT AT NO COST ON THIS, RIDICULOUS). I WANT MY REAR UPPER CONTROL ARMS REPLACED WITH NO COST SINCE THE PART WAS INCORRECTLY DESIGNED. *TR

WHILE DRIVING AT FREEWAY SPEED IN A 6 MONTH OLD VEHICLE WITH 5500 MILES, A LOUD CLUNKING NOISE CAME FROM RT FRONT WHEEL AREA. ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATED. SLOWED DOWN TO PULL OVER AND NOISE STOPPED SHORTLY THEREAFTER. MOMENTS LATER TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR LIT UP. PULLED OVER AND SAW TIRE DEFLATED. CHANGED TIRE. DAMAGED TIRE DID NOT HAVE ANY VISIBLE DAMAGE OR PUNCTURES. AIR REMAINED IN TIRE BUT WAS REDUCED. TAKEN TO DEALER FOR INSPECTIONS AND THEY STATED THAT THE CORDS INSIDE THE TIRE WERE "SHREDDED/TORN". CONTACTING GOODYEAR TIRE NOW FOR INSPECTION AND RESOLUTION BUT I AM CONTENDING IT IS A DEFECT WITH THE TIRE ITSELF AND STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF IT. POSSIBLY A DANGEROUS SITUATION TO MYSELF AND OTHER DRIVERS AROUND ME. UNKNOWN IF OTHER DAMAGE TO VEHICLE UNTIL A NEW TIRE IS PUT ON TOMORROW. *TR
