THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT, SUDDEN AND COMPLETE ENGINE STALLING OVER THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS. MY LOCAL INDEPENDENT SHOP COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM. THE CAR FINALLY STALLED COMPLETELY AND THE STEERING COLUMN STARTED SMOKING. DEALER REPLACED IGNITION SWITCH AND SAID IT WAS UNDER RECALL. I NEVER RECEIVED NOTICE FROM HONDA OF A RECALL. DURING TWO RECENT VISITS TO THE DEALER THE PAPERWORK INDICATED THAT THERE WERE NO OPEN RECALLS ON THE CAR. I HAVE LIVED AT THE SAME ADDRESS SINCE PURCHASING THE CAR NEW IN 1999. I RECEIVED AND RESPONDED TO AN EARLIER RECALL. HOWEVER I BELIEVE THAT HONDA AND THEIR DEALERS ARE NOW NEGLECTING TO INFORM OWNERS OF REQUIRED RECALLS. I WAS UNNECESSARILY PUT IN DANGEROUS SITUATIONS AND SPENT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME AND MONEY ADDRESSING A PROBLEM I WAS NOT PROPERLY NOTIFIED ABOUT. *TR
