TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH ON NORMAL CONDITIONS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AFTER THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE ENGINE RESTARTED AFTER TEN MINUTES AND THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE FAILURES OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED ACCORDING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 02V120000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH); HOWEVER, THE REMEDY WAS INSUFFICIENT AND DID NOT ADDRESS THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 146,000.

NOTICEABLE JERK WHEN STOPPING THE CAR RIGHT BEFORE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. ALSO, THE CAR JERKS CONSIDERABLY WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. THIS CAR DOES NOT HAVE A SMOOTH ACCELERATION LIKE MY PREVIOUS HONDA HAD. PRETTY SURE THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION. *TR
