SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE HAVING THE VEHICLE INSPECTED BY THE DEALERSHIP, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REAR BRAKES ON HER VEHICLE WERE MORE THAN 90% WORN AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 26,000.

DT: THE CONTACT STATED AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE HE BEGAN TO NOTICE CRACKS IN THE STEERING WHEEL ABOVE THE AIR BAGS. HE CONTACTED HONDA AND SPOKE WITH A REPRESENTATIVE. THE REPRESENTATIVE HAD SOMEONE ELSE TO CALL HIM BACK. THE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD HIM THAT THIS PROBLEM WAS HIS FAULT BECAUSE OF THE WAY HE WAS PRESSING THE HORN. BOTH TIMES THE AIRBAG WERE REPLACED BY THE DEALERSHIP UNDER WARRANTY. HE WENT TO A BODY SHOP AND SAW TWO OTHER VEHICLES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM ,AND THEY TOLD HIM IF THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED THEN IT COULD CAUSE INJURY TO HIM.*AK UPDATED 12/27/05. *JB
