THE YUKON XL IS ADVERTISED BY GMC TO BE A VEHICLE CAPBABLE OF TOWING A 7800 LB TRAILER. WITH A BOAT TRAILER OR HORSE TRAILER YOU CAN NOT SAFELY PARK ON ANYTHING BUT LEVEL GROUND WITHOUT THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE AND TRAILER BEING HELD BY THE TRANMISSION PARK. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON. WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OR LOWER, THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS VERY HARD. THERE IS ALSO A HARSH POUNDING SOUND COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION. ALL OF THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED. THE DEALER CHANGED THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR. WHILE DRIVING, THE CONTACT CANNOT TELL WHEN THE GEAR IS IN NEUTRAL. THE SPEEDOMETER DISPLAYS INACCURATE SPEEDS AND THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATES. THE PLASTIC ON THE WINDOW FELL OFF AND THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR HANDLE STICKS WHEN IT IS PULLED, AND WILL NOT GO BACK IN. THE CONTACT HEARS A RUBBING SOUND COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER HAS BEEN REPLACED AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD REMAIN ILLUMINATED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 29,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,229. UPDATE 09/10/08 *CW THE LUG NUT CAPS WERE MISSING, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. THE GAS CAP WAS NOT SEALING. THE DEALER REPLACED THE GAS CAP. UPDATED 09/15/08. *JB
