WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY IN HOUSTON AN ENGINE POWER REDUCED LIGHT CAME ON AND MY VEHICLE LURCHED AND REDUCED IN SPEED FROM APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH TO 10MPH CAUSING CARS BEHIND ME TO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION AND ALMOST CAUSING A MULTIPLE CAR MAJOR ACCIDENT. I FRANTICALLY KEPT TRYING TO START THE CAR AND WAS ABLE TO GET OVER TO THE FEEDER ROAD. SINCE THIS INCIDENT I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH AND HAVE FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FOR THIS ISSUE AND AM SURPRISED THAT THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL ISSUED. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS ISSUE AND I AM SURPRISED THAT MORE HASN'T BEEN DONE. *TR

IN OCTOBER OF 2011, I HIT A SMALL STUMP ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE OF THIS VEHICLE. WHEN I DID THIS IT SHEARED OFF THE 3 BOLTS (LEFT, CENTER AND RIGHT SIDE) GOING ACROSS THE CROSSBARS AND DROPPED BOTH CROSSBARS OFF THE FRONT OF THIS VEHICLE. I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND HOW IT COULD HAVE TAKEN THE CROSSBAR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE UNTIL I SAW THE SIZE OF THESE BOLTS HOLDING THE CROSSBARS ON. IT'S A JOKE!!! 2010 GMC TERRAIN OWNERS BE CAREFUL BECAUSE IT DOESN'T TAKE MUCH TO SHEAR THESE BOLTS OFF AND IT WILL NOT BE COVERED BY YOUR WARRANTY. *TR
