ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT PANEL
TL*- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 GMC SIERRA PICK UP WITH A CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE OF 40,000 MILES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER WAS WORKING IMPROPERLY. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS AT A STOP THE SPEEDOMETER READ THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING AT 120 MPH. WHILE DRIVING THE SPEEDOMETER WAS NOT REGISTERING THE SPEED CORRECTLY. THE CONTACT WOULD KEEP UP WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC TO TRY TO GAGE THE VEHICLES SPEED. THE CONTACT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER, AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE SPEEDOMETER MOTOR.
