THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO CONFIRMED THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PREVIOUSLY UNDER A SAFETY CAMPAIGN FOR THE POWER TRAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 137,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD FIVE HUNDRED. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHO INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED.
