I COULD'VE [XXX] DIED. I WAS ON A BUSY HIGHWAY WHEN MY CAR DIED LIKE THE BATTERY WAS DIED BUT THE BATTERY WAS FINE AND I HAD GAS. I TOOK MY FORD ESCAPE INTO THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. MY SUV NEEDED SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE THROTTLE. IM NOT VERY HAPPY THAT I WILL NEED TO PAY 600 DOLLAR TO FIX SOMETHING THAT OTHERS WITH A FORD ESCAPE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. FORD NEEDS TO RECALL THE FORD ESCAPES ASAP OR GIVE PEOPLE A REFUND OR DISCOUNT OR YOUR COMPANY WILL LOSE ALOT OF CUSTOMERS BECAUSE FORD WONT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS BUT NO CAUSE FOR THE FAILURE WAS FOUND. SIX MONTHS LATER THE FAILURE RECURRED AND AGAIN, THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE FOR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 11,500.
