THIS INCIDENT HAS OCCURRED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR. AFTER SHOPPING FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES, I START MY CAR AND IT IMMEDIATELY MAKE A HARSH CLUNKING SOUND WHEN MOVING INTO DRIVE GEAR. THEN I HAVE LITTLE TO NO ACCELERATION AND MY SPEEDOMETER, ETC DOES NOT WORK. THE WRENCH SYMBOL COMES ON. WHEN PUTTING THE CAR INTO PARK, IT MAKES A VIOLENT, HARSH SOUND. THE FIRST 2 INCIDENTS, I LET THE CAR SIT FOR OVER 24 HOURS. WHEN I START AFTER 24 HOURS THE CAR WORKS COMPLETELY FINE AND ALL THE SYMPTOMS GO AWAY. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO DEALERSHIP WITHIN 8 HOURS OF INCIDENT. THEY WERE ABLE TO DETERMINE IT WAS THE TURBINE AND SPEED SENSORS, WHICH I HAD REPLACED. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THIS VEHICLE AND FEEL THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ISSUE. *TR |

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT PINNED THE PASSENGER TO THE SEAT IF THERE WAS TOO MUCH MOVEMENT. THE PASSENGER HAD TO DISCONNECT THE SEAT BELT AND RECONNECT IT IN ORDER FOR THE SEAT BELT TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD BECAUSE THE SEAT BELTS WERE DESIGNED THAT WAY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 15,000. |
