I HAVE A 2010 DODGE CHALLENGER SRT8 WITH 6.1L V* HEMI ENGINE. 6000 MILES ON IT AND IN PERFECT SHAPE. ON MAY 2ND AT 1PM I CAME OFF THE FREEWAY (AIR CONDITIONER WAS ON) AND SLOWED TO 10 MI/HR TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN. POWER STEERING WENT DEAD THAN CAR STOOPED RUNNING. I TOOK IT TO TEMPE DODGE AND THEY SAID THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE. I GOGGLED IT AND FIND OUT ITS BEEN HAPPENING WITH A LOT OF SRT8S AND HAS BEEN REPORTED NUMEROUS TIMES; YET TEMPE DODGE IS UNAWARE OF IT??? REALLY!!!!! THIS NEEDS ADDRESSING NOW BEFORE SOMEONE DIES!!!! DODGE IS NOT TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY AS IF THEY WISH IT WOULD GO AWAY. FOR A 40K CAR THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ITEM AND IT NEEDS TO HAVE A ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS COMPLETED BY DODGE ENGINEERS ASAP!!! IF THIS HAPPENS AT HIGHER SPEEDS OR IN SHARPER TURN SOMEONE WILL DIE!! I WANT AN ANSWER. MY HUSBAND WHO IS A STATE TROOPER WAS DRIVING MY CAR TO HOME DEPOT. HE HAD TROUBLE KEEPING IT STARTED IN OUR DRIVEWAY. ONCE HE GOT OUT ONTO THE ROAD IT WAS FINE UNTIL HE LET OFF THE GAS. THE CAR SHUT OFF COMPLETELY. HE COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ALMOST GETTING REAR ENDED. HE CRANKED IT BACK UP AND THIS HAPPENED 2 MORE TIMES ON HIS WAY TO HOME DEPOT AND BACK. HE SAID EVERYTIME THE ENGINE WOULD JUST SHUT DOWN. WE CALLED DODGE AND THEY CLAIM THERE HAS BEEN NO REPORTS OF THIS. *TT
