ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS WE INTERMITTENTLY WORKING/NOT WORKING AROUND MAY. TURNS TO BE A BIG PROBLEM WHEN I DRIVE AT NIGHT SINCE I CANNOT SEE THE SPEED. ALSO, A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO THE LIGHTS ON THE PILOT'S SIDE STOPPED WORKING. AGAIN, BIG PROBLEM BECAUSE TURNS TO BE DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. LUCKILY I DO MOST OF MY DRIVING DURING THE DAY, BUT WITH THE WINTER APPROACHING, I'M TAKING MY CAR TO THE GARAGE FOR A FIX. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET AVEO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH THE TIE ROD FAILED, CAUSING THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE TIRE TO BECOME SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT THE TIE ROD FAILED AND BECAME DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000.
