WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY ONE NIGHT THE LOW BEAMS SUDDENLY WENT OUT. I WAS FORCE TO USE THE HIGH BEAMS UNTIL I COULD PULL OVER. INSIDE THE CAR I COULD SMELL SOMETHING BURNING, SOMETHING ELECTRICAL. ONCE I PULLED OVER I NOTICE SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD AND THAT THE FUSE BLOCK UNDER THE HOOD WAS ON FIRE, WHICH HOLD FUSES AND RELAYS. THE TWO RELAYS THAT WAS AFFECTED WERE THE LOW BEAM AND HIGH WINDSHIELD WIPER, SO THEY NO LONGER WORK. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 BUICK LACROSSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE IN TRAFFIC THE PARK ASSIST AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PASS 9 MPH. THE CONTACT DROVE ONTO THE EMERGENCY LANE AND SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT CONTINUED TO TRAVEL AT 9 MPH; THEREFORE, THE CONTACT TOWED THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO REPROGRAMMED THE TCM WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN DUE TO AN ENGINE MALFUNCTION. A MONTH LATER WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN AGAIN WITHOUT WARNING. THE PARK ASSIST AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AGAIN ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A DEALER. THE DEALER WAS ADJUSTING THE SELECTOR CABLE WHEN THE COMPLAINT WAS FILE BECAUSE IT WAS TOO TIGHT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000.
