WHILE DRIVING OUR BMW Z4 THE STEERING SEEMS TO GET LOCKED IN TO A POSITION WHICH REQUIRES MORE A LOT EFFORT THAN NORMAL TO STEER. WE HAVE TO HOLD THE STEERING WHEEL TIGHTLY WITH BOTH HANDS TO AVOID OVER STEERING. I SEE THERE ARE MANY MORE PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM WHEN I GOOGLED Z4 STEERING. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW Z4. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO REVERSE FROM A PARKING SPACE AT APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A LOSS OF POWER STEERING WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING UNIT AND COLUMN HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED.
