BRAKES HAD TO BE REPLACED AT APPROX 18,000 MILES DUE TO SEVERE VIBRATION IN STEERING WHEEL AND BRAKE PEDAL WHEN APPLYING BRAKES ,ESPECIALLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. BY THE TIME VEHICAL HAD REACHED 45000 MILES, THE BRAKES HAD BEEN REPLACED SIX (6) ADDITIONAL TIMES,AND FOR THE SAME REASON. DEALERSHIP VERY COOPERATIVE AND HAS ADVISED ME THAT TOYOTA KNOWS THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH BRAKES ON TUNDRA AND HAS ASSIGNED A "TECHNIQAL TEAM " TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM.WHAT DO I AND OTHER TUNDRA OWNERS, ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH VEHICALS OUT OF WARRENTY LIKE MINE,DO UNTIL THE BRAKE PROBLEM IS SOLVED. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 TOYOTA TUNDRA. WHEN THE IGNITION WAS STARTED THE CONTACT OBSERVED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT REMAINED IN THE OFF POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON TWO OCCASIONS IN WHICH THERE WERE NO SERVICE REPAIRS PERFORMED FOR THE MALFUNCTION. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER POSITIONED ON THE FLOOR OF THE VEHICLE CAUSED THE AIR BAG TO BECOME NONFUNCTIONAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR THE THIRD TIME FOR THE IDENTICAL FAILURE. THE TECHNICIAN RECALIBRATED THE AIR BAG AND IT FUNCTIONED PROPERLY FOR ONE WEEK. THE CONTACT SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR THE CONSISTENT FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,132.
