TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 TOYOTA SEQUOIA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH ND ATTEMPTING A TURN, THE ENGINE STALLED WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE ABS, SKID CONTROL AND VSC WARNING INDICATORS. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND RESUMED NORMALLY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT WHO STATED THE ECU VALVE WAS FAULTY. THERE WAS A RECALL RELATED TO THE DEFECT UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 10V176000 (TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM). THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL; HOWEVER THE DEALER REUSED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE FOR AN UNKNOWN REASON. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 167,000.
