I HAD JUST CHANGED MY OIL IN APRIL 2, 2001 AND I HAD DRIVEN IT ABOUT 3,000 MILES AND I STARTRD TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE. MY OIL PRESSURE GUAGE NEVER GAVE ME ANY WARNINGS THAT I WAS LOW ON OIL. ALL OF A SUDDEN I WAS DRIVING IT TO WORK AND THERE WAS THIS TERRIBLE NOISE, I FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS NO OIL IN IT EXCEPT FOR ABOUT 1/4 QUART. IWAS IN SHOCK BECAUSE I HAVE ALWAYS TOOK CARE OF MY CARS. I HAVE A 1982 TOYOTA TRUCK WITH 148,000 MILES ON IT AND IT IS STILL RUNNING. I FEEL THERE WAS A DEFAULT IN THE MECHANISM SOMEWHERE. THE MECHANIC SAID THE OIL WAS GOING THRU THE ENGINE AND EVAPORATING THRU THE EXHAUST. THAT IS WHY I SHOWED NO LEAKS IN MY DRIVEWAY FOR THE LOSS OF OIL. COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY SITUATION?
