SUZUKI HAS RECALL FOR A DEFECTIVE PASSENGER SEAT CUSHION THAT WHEN THE FAULT IS PRESENT THE PASSENGER NOR THE DRIVERS AIR BAGS WILL DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT. THE PART HAS BEEN ORDERED BUT WILL NOT COME IN FOR THREE WEEKS. THE DEALERSHIP IN PENSACOLA FLORIDA HAS SAID THEY WILL NOT GIVE A LOANER VEHICLE FOR THIS ISSUE EVEN THOUGHT THE SAFETY ISSUE HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AND NEITHER THE PASSENGER OR DRIVERS AIR BAG WILL DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT. KNOWING THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT SAFETY ISSUE I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND WHY THEY WON'T GIVE A LOANER VEHICLE UNTIL THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN CORRECTED. IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIR BAGS DON'T DEPLOY I CAN SEE A JUSTIFICATION FOR A LAWSUIT BECAUSE OF THIS SAFETY ISSUE IN THE VEHICLE. I HAD EVEN CONTACTED A LADY BY THE NAME OF [XXX] AT THE SUZUKI CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER OF 1-800-934-0934 AND IN THE RECALL LETTER THAT WAS SENT OUT DOES NOT ALLOW FOR A LOANER VEHICLE UNLESS THE ISSUE FALLS UNDER THE 36 MONTH WARRANTY PERIOD. IF THIS IS A KNOWN RECALL IT SHOULD NOT MATTER IF IT IS UNDER THE WARRANTY PERIOD OR NOT SINCE THIS IS A VEHICLE SAFETY ISSUE AND A LOANER VEHICLE SHOULD BE AVAILABLE TO ALL CUSTOMERS. THE SUN MELTED MY SEAT AND SHIFTER AREA HERE IN FLORIDA. I IN FORM SUZUKI CORP. BUT THEY REFUSE TO REPLY TO THE ISSUE EVEN AFTER SUBMITTING PHOTOS AND GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP . I AM ALSO VERY CONCERN ABOUT FIRE STARTING IN THE CAR AS THE SUN MELTED THE INSIDE COULD AS WELL START A FIRE. THE CAR IS UNDER WARRANTY AND SUZUKI REFUSE IS TO REPLY. *TR
