TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE RAM 3500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DIFFICULT TO STOP WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES TO HAVE THE BRAKE CONTROL MODULE REPLACED; HOWEVER, IT DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PERMANENTLY FIX THE PROBLEM. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 400 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 11000. THE CONSUMER STATED AS OF 05/12/11 THE BRAKES STILL DO NOT WORK PROPERLY. THE PROBLEM IS DUE TO THE TRAILER BRAKES. THE CONSUMER STATED IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO STOP WHEN CONNECTED TO THE 5TH WHEEL. TOOK TRUCK TO DEALER AND THEY FOUND A HOLE IN THE CONDENSOR LINE BEHIND THE OPENING IN THE FRONT BUMPER WHERE THE RADIATOR, A/C COOLING LINES, TRANSMISION COOLER ALL SIT EXPOSED TO ROAD HAZARDS, SUCH AS ROCKS, DEBRIS OR ANY OTHER SHARP OBJECT THAT MAY ENTER THROUGH THE OPENING STRIKING THE CRITICAL POWERTRAIN COOLERS. THIS TYPE OF DAMAGE IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND MAY BE CLAIMED ON YOUR VEHICLE INSURANCE. THERE IS NO PROTECTION ON THIS OPEN LOWER AREA, WHERE THE RADIATOR IS PROTECTED BY THE VEHICLE FRONT GRILL. THERE IS NO AFTERMARKET GRILL THAT CAN BE PURCHASED TO PROTECT THESE COMPONENTS. EARLIER MODEL DODGE TRUCKS HAD LOWER GRILL COVERS FOR THE BUMPER COOLING OPENING. *TT
