SERVICE BRAKES
WHILE DRIVING THE SLIP, VDC AND BRAKE LIGHTS ALL ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH. I STEPPED ON THE BRAKES AND THE BRAKES WENT ALMOST TO THE FLOOR. THE TRUCK EVENTUALLY DID STOP BUT I CAME CLOSE TO HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I HAVE READ AND RESEARCHED THOROUGHLY ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND IT IS WELL DOCUMENTED THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE. THERE IS CURRENTLY A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN CALIFORNIA REGARDING THIS ISSUE. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME APPROXIMATELY 4 TIMES OVER THE PAST YEAR WHERE I HAVE ALMOST COMPLETELY LOST MY BRAKES. NISSAN NEEDS TO MAKE THIS RIGHT. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM MAY BE A DELTA STROKE SENSOR THAT IS HOUSED WITHIN THE BRAKE BOOSTER. I HAVE NOT REPLACE THIS YET AS I AM NOT SURE IF THIS WILL FIX THE PROBLEM AND IT IS QUITE EXPENSIVE. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE OUT THERE. *TR

SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED WHILE GOING OVER A BUMP/HITTING A POTHOLE DURING A TURN-NO WHEELS LEFT THE GROUND AND PASSENGER KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS BY DEPLOYMENT. SEE THIS PROBLEM MENTIONED IN FORUMS YET NO RECALL AND DEALERS UNABLE TO ASSESS PROBLEM WITHOUT SPECIALIST TO CHECK COMPUTER DATA. PERHAPS SENSORS TOO SENSITIVE TO BUMPY TURNS/MAYBE DEFECTIVE-DON'T KNOW. *TR
