WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK MY BRAKE LIGHT APPEAR ON MY DASH BOARD. I APPROACHED A RED LIGHT WHEN MY I FOUND IT VERY DIFFICULT TO APPLY THE BRAKE. I HEARD A LOUD NOISE AND GRINDING COMING FROM THE FRONT END OF MY 2008 ARMADA. MY SUV STOPPED WITH IN INCHES OF REAR ENDING A CAR VERY SCARY. I PULLED MY TRUCK INTO A PARKING LOT, TURNED IT OFF AND THEN BACK ON AGAIN. THIS SEEMED TO RESET THE LIGHT. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF THIS WAS A KNOW PROBLEM AND THEY SAID IT WAS I NEED TO HAVE MY BRAKE BOOSTER REPLACED AT A COST OF 820.00 PLUS TAX. THIS WOULD BE AN OUT OF COST EXPENSE BECAUSE MY TRUCK IS OUT OF WARRANTY. IF THIS IS A KNOW PROBLEM WHY WON'T NISSAN RECALL THIS PART BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED. *TR

I HIT THE BUTTON TO CLOSE THE REAR LIFT GATE. I THEN STEPPED AWAY AND WHEN COMING BACK AROUND THE CORNER I DID NOT CUT THE CORNER WIDE ENOUGH AND WENT RIGHT INTO THE GATE WHICH CONTINUED TO CLOSE ON MY HEAD. THIS RESULTED IN A LACERATION TO MY FOREHEAD, A CONCUSSION AND A TRIP TO THE ER. AT MY ADMISSION, I WAS RUSHING AROUND THE CORNER SO I THOUGHT PERHAPS THAT MAYBE I DID NOT GIVE IT ENOUGH TIME TO SENSE ME AND RETRACT. HOWEVER, I HAVE SINCE "TESTED" THIS AUTOMATIC CLOSE FEATURE WITH MY ARM AND IT DOES NOT SENSE IT AND CONTINUES TO CLOSE. OBVIOUSLY, THIS TIME I WAS AWARE OF WHAT I WAS DOING SO I HAD TIME TO RETRACT MY ARM. I AM LEFT WITH A PERMANENT SCAR ON MY FOREHEAD BUT I FEAR THIS COULD POTENTIALLY HAVE EVEN WORSE CONSEQUENCES FOR SOMEONE ELSE IN THE FUTURE, ESPECIALLY A CHILD. *JB
