I OWN A 2007 MAZDA CX7 THAT THE A/C COMPRESSOR SEIZED UP ON CAUSING A NEAR FIRE UNDER THE HOOD. I HEARD AN AWFUL NOISE AND SAW SMOKE BILLOWING UNDER THE HOOD. I SHUT IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY KNOWING THAT WHAT WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN COULDN'T BE GOOD. I WENT ONLINE AND FOUND OUT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MANY CX7S NOW THE DEALER IS TELLING ME THAT BECAUSE I'VE OWNED THIS FOR 37 MONTHS, (35,000 MILES) THAT IT ISN'T COVERED BY THE 60,000 MILE DRIVE TRAIN WARRANTY, (IF I CAN'T DRIVE IT, ITS A DRIVETRAIN PROBLEM TO ME)...THIS NEEDS TO BE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT..OR A RECALL YOU'RE CHOICE. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA CX7. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, HE HEARD A LOUD WHINING NOISE AND WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE TURBO FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TURBO NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 50,100.
