RECEIVED WARRANTY EXTENSION PROGRAM SSP87 LETTER TO HANDLE VARIABLE VALUE TIMING ACTUATOR FIX. EXTENDS WARRANTY TO 84 MONTHS OR 70000 MILES. MY CAR HAS 74,000 MILES AND HAS SYMPTOMS DESCRIBED IN SSP. WAS TOLD BY BOTH THE DEALER ( TURNERSVILLE MAZDA IN TURNERSVILLE NJ ) AND MAZDA NORTH AMERICA THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE TO HELP ME. I OFFERED TO PAY PART OF THE REPAIR IF THEY WOULD WORK WITH ME, BOTH DEALER AND MAZDA NA HAD NO INTEREST. CARE DOES FUNCTION OK NOW BUT I WILL NOT DRIVE IT ANYMORE UNTIL I CAN GET IT FIXED. I WILL ALSO BE LOGGING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND CONTACTING THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND POSSIBLY A SMALL CLAIMS COURT CASE. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A COMMON PROBLEM AND MAZDA NA SEEMS TO SHOW NO INTEREST IN STANDING BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. *TR

ON MY 30 MILE DRIVE HOME FROM WORK, I BRIEFLY SMELT SOMETHING BURNING. LATER ON THAT DRIVE, I REALIZED THAT MY A/C DID NOT SEEM TO BE BLOWING COLD. MY A/C HAS ALWAYS TAKEN A WHILE TO COOL THE CAR DOWN, BUT IT WASN'T EVEN COOL AFTER MY 30 MILE DRIVE HOME. WHEN I CONFIRMED THAT THE A/C WAS NOT BLOWING COLD AT ALL, ON MY DRIVE TO WORK THE FOLLOWING DAY, I TOOK MY CAR TO A REPAIR SHOP TO HAVE THE A/C CHECKED. THAT IS WHEN I WAS TOLD MY A/C COMPRESSOR HAD "LOCKED UP" FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON, AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE MAZDA DEALERSHIP THE FOLLOWING BUSINESS DAY AND THEY CONFIRMED THE SAME. MAZDA COULD NOT PROVIDE AN EXPLANATION FOR WHY THIS HAPPENED AT 58,000 MILES. THE COMPRESSOR IS STILL NOT REPAIRED AT THIS TIME BECAUSE THE MAZDA DEALERSHIP WILL NOT WARRANTY THEIR REPAIRS. *TR
