TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 JAGUAR XF. ON DECEMBER 7, 2009 WHILE THE ENGINE WAS ON, WITH HIS FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL WITHIN SECONDS THE ENGINE BEGAN TO IDLE EXCESSIVELY AND THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SHAKE. HE CONTINUED TO PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL TO PREVENT HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIM. HE HAD TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL, THEN PARK AND TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. HE RESTARTED THE VEHICLE WITH HIS FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND HAD NO FURTHER INCIDENTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE DIAGNOSIS DID NOT LOCATE A FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,814 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 13,000.

I PURCHASED A 2011 JAGUAR XF IN JUNE 2010. WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK, THE CAR SUDDENLY CUT OFF AS WE WERE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AT LESS THAN 20M MPH. THE SYSTEM SHUT DOWN AND WOULD NOT MOVE. OTHER CARS WERE BEHIND US. THIS ISSUE OCCURRED 4 TIME THUS FAR. THE LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED, THE CAR SYSTEM MESSAGE INDICATED AN OVERHEATING CONDITION. *TR
