TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 ISUZU RODEO. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V436000 (SUSPENSION:REAR). AFTER REPAIRS, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP FOR STATE INSPECTION WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE AND WOULD NOT PASS INSPECTION DUE TO SEVERE FRAME RUST AND CORROSION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 152,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THESE ROTORS RUST AND FLAKE HORRIBLY AND CAUSE FAILURE OF THE BRAKES. MY SERVICE PERSON TOLD ME UPON INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE THAT IT WASNOT SAFE TO DRIVE. THESE ROTORS HAVE FAILED EVERY 2 YRS/ 20K MILES. I HAVE NEVER REPLACED ROTORS ON A VEHICLE, LET ALONE THAT OFTEN. THESE ROTORS NEED TO BE RECALLED THEY ARE DEFECTIVE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY MY SERVICE PERSON AT COCHRAN AND BY ANOTHER MECHANIC WHICH SEVICES MY OTHER DAR THAT RODEO ROTORS HAVE ALWAYS HAD TROUBLE. WHY ARENT THEY ON A RECALL LIST? THIS COSTS ME 6-800.00 DOLLARS AT EACH FAILURE!! I AM GRATEFUL IT DIDNT COST MY LIFE. THERE ARE NO SQUEELERS TO WARN / IN 10 MILES FROM WORK, MY BRAKES STATRED TO GRIND THEN GOT WORSE AND LOUDER AND THE PEDDLE GOT SOFTER AND THE VEHICLE BECAME DIFFICULT TO STOP EVEN DRIVING SLOW AND DOWNSHIFTING. DANGEROUS/ VEHICLE WAS JUST INSPECTED BY DEALER 3MNTHS/3K MILES EARLIER IN JULY/NO BRAKE TROUBLE THEN/FAILURE 3MNTHS/3K MILES LATER.*AK
